Summary

Argo is the oldest beer brand in Iran established in 1930.
After the revolution of 1979 production was stopped.
Castle Noush re-launched the brand in 2019 as a non-alcoholic craft beer.
Argo is a brewed premium malt and sources its volume from the plain-malt segment.
The following variants are developed: Argo Malt, Argo Iranian Pale Ale
Malt: a strong classic malt taste.
Iranian Pale Ale (I.P.A.): a balanced bittersweet taste 
due to a combination of malt with citrus & extra hops.
The original brewery building is located in central Tehran, and currently being reopened as Contemporary Art Museum. Castle Noush supports the development of the first non-alcoholic beer café ‘Argo Café’ on the premises of the old brewery.

  • The name ‘Argo’ comes from the name of a ship in Greek Mythology. The mythology is about Jason and the Argonauts.
  • The original brewery building is located in present day central Tehran and currently being reopened as Contemporary Art Museum & Café.
  • The Iranian company A.R.G.O. established in 1930 as a beverage company and started to label its products with ‘Argo’. The brand was born.
  • Castle Noush re-launched the brand in 2019 as a non-alcoholic craft beer (halal). Argo is a brewed premium malt.
